Obituary

Larry James Olson, passed away April 24, 2007 after a long battle with C.O.P.D. Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease. Larry was born August 4, 1945 in La Crosse, WI and moved to the Oregon area in his teen years and then to Washington for the remainder of his adult life, where he worked as a Merchant Seaman and then in Commercial Transportation. He was married to his wife Lynda on May 9th, 1971 in Seattle, WA. Together, they raised 3 boys; Kenny and his family, Maria, Stephanie 9 years, Kyle 7 years, Anthony 5 years, and Liza 14 months, Michael and his family, Kristine, Felecia 13 years and Natasha 11 years. Rickey and his wife Juanita. Angela and her family, Bob and Haylee 2 years. He is now reunited with his brothers Dick and Gordy who have preceded him in passing, and survived by his siblings Charlene and David. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Larry loved his family more than life itself. Each of his children and grandchildren had such a special place in his heart. He was a teacher of life’s traits and worked hard to share this with his family. He was a leader and respected by all that he met. If you were lucky enough to spend any time at all with Larry, you felt a warm sense of acceptance. He made you laugh, sometimes until you were in tears. He always made sure you had a good time. Any special memories are felt by those who knew Larry. Grandpa is funny, he jokes around a lot, whenever we come over to visit he greets us in a very funny way and a happy way too. He likes to play around with us like baseball, football etc. He was also very nice! Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 3:00 pm at BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way, WA Viewing will be held on Friday, April 27th at 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 28th, 2007 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Services will be followed by a celebration of his life at the Olson residence.
