Larry was born on 2 October 1941 in Oxnard, CA. He was the fifth child of George G. Omo, Sr. and Sarah G. Gutierrez. At an early age he learned the carpenter trade which evolved into furniture making. In his retirement years he learned the art of woodturning making bowls and pens for veterans and friends. Larry served his country honorably in the USAF for 26 years, beginning in the Vietnam era.
Larry passed away 14 March 2017 in Puyallup, WA, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Sally; two children, Lissa (Mike) and Michael (Jennifer) and grandchildren Samantha, Mark and Scott. Also surviving Larry are sisters Lillian and Tina; younger brother Manuel ; extended family members and many friends.
Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, March 23 , at Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac, WA.
I’m so sorry for your loss. This is a scripture that has given me comfort and I pray you receive comfort from it also. Isaiah 25:8 says that God will swallow up death forever and wipe away all tears. I will be praying for you during this difficult time.
I went to OUHS with Larry and just heard about his passing. I remember Larry as a guy who always had a big smile. RIP Larry

Having just found out about Larry’s passing, I want to express my deepest sympathies. I went to Oxnard High School with both Sally and Larry, and I remember him as a wounderful and joyful friend. He was all the more joyful after he met Sally. I too served in the U.S Air Force, station at Moses Lake, Washington. I salute you Larry and wish the best for your family. Eddie
