Carol, Veronica, Candy and Todd,
I am so sorry for your loss. Lee was an amazing, kind and wonderful man. My heart overflows with years and years of beautiful memories of him.
Tons of hugs to you and the rest of your family.
Love,
Patty
What a wonderful picture of Lee and his dog!
He was a lucky man to have had you as his family. I witnessed from the sidelines all the love and care you gave him over the last few years. You are a very dedicated family that he must of been very proud of. Take good care of yourselves during this difficult time.
When I think of Lee and all the years our family spent together doing fun things, I automatically smile. I have vivid pictures of Tom and him getting into some kind of mischief. It’s fitting that they are in the same cemetery.
Keep the good memories always.
Jan

Carol, Veronica, Todd and Candy…..I just found out that Leland has passed away, and it hit me with such sorrow i can’t even imagine the sorrow you are feeling. Then i started to think about our history as a family cause i looked at him as an uncle and the memories begin to flood in and i smile. First memory girl scouts that’s where it all began in our family’s friendship, the orange mustang his pride and joy and thinking how cool of a dude he was but the times at Anderson Island was a major part of my life and the memories of those days flood to mind GOLFING….who didn’t want to go golfing with Leland, Tom and dad that was so much fun i always looked forward going golfing with them and the proper way to golf as instructed by Leland first golf bag filled with beer then ice to keep it cold and then all you needed was 3 golf clubs to carry around the 9 holes of golf what a blast or the time Leland Tom and I went out in the sound in the canoe and we were telling jokes laughing and i thought it would be funny to tip the canoe over well in girl scouts we were taught to go underneath the canoe cause there is a pocket of air which i did but they panicked cause they couldn’t find me and i was laughing under the canoe in which they heard me and did not think it was to funny that is the only time i can ever remember Leland being a little angry he was always happy smiling enjoying life and i promised not to do that ever again. i could go on and on with many more memories. your husband and your dad was a major person in my growing up i looked forward to the times we spent together and of course you guys too and I thank you for sharing him with me and my family. Much Love Stephanie
We would get the opportunity to visit Lee when the fall season came around and Husky football games were happening. Lee and Carol were part of our parking lot tailgate entourage. When Lees health was declining he still wanted to come visit all of us and did so while in his wheelchair. Nothing was going to get in his way of visiting “the tailgate gang.” We are saddened by his passing and grateful to Carol for her loving care provided to him during his illness.
So sorry I missed your funeral Uncle Leland, I will always keep your memory near my heart.
Uncle Lee, or, as I often heard you called, “The Silver Fox”, thinking of you brings back such wonderful and treasured memories. You, Aunt Carol, Veronica, Candy and Todd were family to me. When I think of summers on Anderson Island, I always smile! I’m not sure who was having more fun, the kids or the grown-ups! Times spent with all of you always meant so much to me.. Love and comfort to all of you, Cindy
