Obituary

Leo A. KELLY Age 79, of Federal Way, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday April 8, 2008. He was born May 25, 1928 in Ronan, MT to George and Nora Kelly. He was a very proud member of the Iron Workers Local 86. Throughout his 41 years as an iron worker he helped create the Seattle skyline as it is seen today. He was preceded in death by his daughter Francine Kelly. He is survived by his wife Fern Kelly; six sons Larry, Leonard, Ronald, David, Leland, and Leo JR. and one daughter Norine Neelands; 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and four sisters Wilma Hurd, Lovie Bailey, Leah Galloway, and Georgia Snyder.

From the time I came into Local 86 back in the 1960’s, I always knew if I was going to a job that Leo was on, It was going to be a GOOD job. It was usually well run and I knew I was going to enjoy going to work. It must have been his Montana heritage.
