Obituary
Deirdre passed away easily on March 8, 2011. She was born in Seattle, WA on July 10, 1942 to Marjorie and Harold Mortenson. She grew up in So. Seattle and graduated from Evergreen High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, John Leslie in 1961 and they had 3 children, Brett, Dr. Todd and Laurie Dawn Sherwin. She resided in Seattle her entire life except for the trips to Silver Lakes, CA where she enjoyed golfing, bowling and all of her friends in that community, as if it was her 2nd home! She loved it dearly. When she first married, she was a legal secretary until she had the children. When the youngest was 10, she decided to drive a school bus for Highline School District and did that for 10 years. She loved her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband, John, which she was married to for 50+ years; her sons Brett and Todd Leslie; daughter Laurie Dawn Sherwin and 12 grandchildren. A true passion and love for her were her animals. To say her dogs and cats were pampered is an understatement. She will be missed by her family and friends. Nordstrom’s and Chico’s stock will probably take a dive now that she is no longer shopping. In lieu of flowers, ‘please go buy yourself something nice’ in her memory!
