Obituary

Lily L. Sapigao, a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt went peacefully in the early dawn in Torrance, California on December 4, 2008 with her family by her side.

Lily was born on June 16, 1922 in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. She came to the United States in 1952 after graduating from Far Eastern University in the Philippines and marrying her life-long love, Emilio D. Sapigao deceased.

Throughout her 50 years in Seattle, she was devoted to her family and friends, St. Edward’s Catholic Church, the Catholic Charismatic community, and the Filipino Community of Seattle. Lily was also a member of the Pangasinan Association of the Pacific Northwest, and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Seattle Post #6599.

Lily is survived by her children: Stella, Sharon and Ronald; sister, Beatriz Padre; brothers: Leonardo and Virgilio Laurencio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States, Philippines and Canada.

Emilio, her loving husband of 56 years, preceded her in 2006, and her first-born son, Rupert, died in 1952 in the Philippines. Her sister Pilar Pascual also preceded her. Lily’s beloved sister Demetria Fadul and brother Alfredo Laurencio recently passed this year.

Viewing will be on Thursday, December 11, 2008 and Friday, December 12, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4205 S. Orcas Street, Seattle, WA, followed by interment at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac.

Dear Stella, Sharon, and Ronnie,

We will miss Auntie Lily. Now she is with Uncle Emilio, Cousin Rupert, and all of our relatives and loved ones who have already passsed away. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
