Linda Ellen Casey

Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Linda Ellen Casey on April 24, 2025 on what would have been her and her belated husband Mike’s 49th wedding anniversary. She missed the love of her life terribly and how fitting she joined him in heaven on their special day.
Linda was born on August 16, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ. She lived a full and adventurous life. She was a dedicated emergency room nurse prior to joining the US Army where she quickly climbed the ranks eventually retiring as a full Colonel. She loved to travel both locally and internationally, having visited six of the seven continents; Africa and Italy ranked among two of her most favorite places. Linda was also an exceptional cook, wine aficionado and hosted terrific dinner parties. She was a voracious reader, accomplished in completion of daily and difficult crossword puzzles, and a fierce competitor serving as a pseudo-Jeopardy Champ, often shouting out the answers before those competing on TV. In addition, Linda was a crazed Seahawks fan, fisherwoman, and absolutely loved musicals.
She devoted her life to taking care of others. This was exemplified by her years of service in nursing, the US Army, and her numerous volunteer projects, most especially FUSION, an organization dedicated to housing families in need.
Linda is survived by her siblings, Lois Juniewicz, Paul Juniewicz (wife Shirley), Lisa Giglio (husband Bill), nieces Laura Patrone (husband Tom), Marisa Giglio Crawford (husband Andrew), nephew Alex Juniewicz and great niece Rosalea Patrone, along with a wealth of friends she considered family. In addition to her devoted husband E. Michael Casey, Linda was preceded in death by her niece Lianne Giglio.
Linda will be dearly missed, however she leaves a legacy of love for all whose lives she touched.

I had the great pleasure to get to know Linda and Mike and always looked forward to our visits. They were quite a couple with so much love of life and interest in really getting to know people. Linda and Mike were also generous supporters of our cancer research program. Please accept my sincere condolences.
