Neighbor, Friend, Second Mother, these are the stages of how our lives with Lois became interwoven.Vacations to Buffalo lend way to her becoming part of an even larger extended family as I, Deborah am one of eleven children. One memory that even now make me laugh is when one day Lois announced seemingly with pride,”you three girls our my foster daughters.” Thomasa jokingly replied, “oh, you’ve just plucked us out the system uh?” We all broke out in laughter as Lois said no I didn’t mean foster, I meant to say my adopted daughters. Now,our hearts are in pain but we know in time that pain will be replaced with all the joyous memories we made together. This too I pray for the Fitzgerald and Newell families. Lois, we know you are at peace for you have now joined your parents, husband, dogs and creator. Though gone from this life, always loved and never ever forgotten by your “foster daughters” Thomasa, Deborah and Marie.
Lois Jean was a very sweet, kind and generous person. She will always be fondly remembered. May she rest in peace.
Lois Jean was my dad and aunt’s cousin, and a dear friend to both. She always made me laugh, during our long phone conversations. She loved animals, and lost her favorite companion several years ago. She is now reunited in heaven with her loved ones, and will be sorely missed. May you RIP Lois Jean. xoxoxo
