Obituary
Lonnie Yee passed away at age 75 on Thursday, August 30th in Bellevue Washington. Lonnie was born in Seattle Washington in 1937 to Mar F Kim and Mar Yen Moy, the youngest of 9 children. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1955 and on February 21, 1960, she married Peter Yee. In 1972 Peter and Lonnie opened the Ming Palace Restaurant and in 1997 they both retired to become full-time grandparents.
Lonnie was full of life. She was active, energetic, compassionate, fun, optimistic, interested and involved. Most importantly, her activities revolved around her family and friends. She was the quintessential mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend. Lonnie is survived by her husband, Peter Yee, daughter Kim (Jeff Latham) and grandchildren Michael and Katie, son Kent Yee (Lisa Webster), brother Lip Mar and sister Lil Leong. She will be missed very much by all of her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Kin On Nursing Home.
Dear Peter, Kent & Lisa, Kim & Jeff, Michael & Katie,
Words cannot describe how we feel over the loss of your wife, mom, grandma and mother-in-law. The loss someone so close and dear to your hearts and our dear friend of nearly 60 years so suddenly, has left us with heavy hearts. She was a wonderful caring friend. She was always looking after and doing things for others – always family and friends first.
We were blessed with having spent nearly six happy fun-filled days with Lonnie and for this, we are thankful.
Please know we are thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
With love and sincerest condolences,
Pinky & Bonnie
