Obituary

Louise Wilson Argana

September 13, 1934 – April 1, 2018

Louise Argana, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away quietly at her home on Sunday, April 1, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her 2 sons, 4 daughters, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.  Louise instilled her strength and spirit in all her children.  She had the most forgiving heart and welcomed everyone with open arms.  Her love and guidance will continue to live on throughout the generations.  The lives she has touched throughout the years are countless.  There will forever be a space in our hearts dedicated to this amazing woman.

“May the winds of heaven blow softly

And whisper in your ear

How much we love and miss you

And wish that you were here.”

Mom, you and Dad were the best parents anyone can have. You both sacrificed so much for your children. You both taught us how to be strong and to be forgiving and generous. I wish I knew now what I didn’t know when I was younger. You both loved your children unconditionally. I will always cherish you and dad forever. Most of all mom, I will miss you saying “goodnight sweetheart” when I came to visit you in the evenings. I am glad I got to spend those nights with you before it was time for you to leave this world and onto a better place. I love you forever Mom!

Mommy it was so hard for me to let you go, I thought I was ready for you to leave us, but It just tore me apart everyday that I don’t see you and I’m always looking in your room and realizing you are not with us. I thank God that you stayed long enough to enjoy life. I love taking care of you and wanting to do more but your Grand-Daughter Rose, Dad, Ate Buena, and Ate Mel who is beside you right now had to call you to be with them. You are at peace and I know you will be watching us. I love you so much and I know that it will take me a while for you and Ate Mel not being beside me.

I love you every day. Kelly gave me a book on “Why a daughter needs a Mom”

A daughter needs a mom: who is never a phone call away; to remind her to save some time and energy for herself; to teach her how to care for her children; because without her she will have less in her life than she deserves; to make sure she keeps a true heart; to comfort her through her tears; and, who knows how to let loose and have fun. These are just some of the words that describes you. I pass by the house thinking you are still there and if we go out who will watch over you. I miss you so.

our deepest sympathies go out to you and yours at this difficult time Nellie. Lean on your hope and faith, and be buoyed by the wonderful memories I am sure you have of your loved ones in your heart.

…eternal rest grant to them, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace…

Bernard.

Nelson and the Argana family, I am sorry for your loss. I once read a book about low income families and how you can determine if the communities they live in are improving. It was only when the mothers would start to buy things for themselves that researchers knew that the community was doing better. Mothers will spend everything they can on their children and make sacrifices for them. Only when the child has everything they need, will a mother think about themselves. Mothers will go without and sacrifice whatever they need to in order to ensure that their children are better off.

Please take care.

Some of my greatest memories of my Grandma is having her try to get me to eat Cream of Mushroom soup and me trying to eat around the teeny tiny mushrooms even though they were pretty much tasteless. She was one of the first people to encourage me to eat more because I was insanely picky. I loved that she got to watch us when we were kids. We walked over to her house after school and she almost always had a warm meal for us. I remember her making us take naps and us having to sneak from room to room so we could talk to each other. She probably knew what we were up to anyways. As I got older I still enjoyed my visits to Grandmas house. When I started shaving my head, she would ask me every time “Oh! Where is your hair?!” and even though she was teasing me, I still enjoyed hearing that from her. I’m going to miss her tremendously. I love you Grandma
