Luisita “Cita” San Luis Diaz was born on June 2, 1935 to Luis San Luis and Guillerma Ferrer.
She was married to Eufronio Gidacan Diaz, and they had 6 children together. She worked multiple jobs to provide for her children, most notable her time at the telephone company. She prayed daily and family always came first to her. Cita was an amazing cook; her dishes would bring people together and she prided herself on ensuring all mouths were fed. She was a generous soul and would often remind you to save your monies for a rainy day.
She passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, after her journey with vascular dementia. Up until the end Cita maintained her spunky, fierce, and loving personality.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and eldest son, Noel.
She had the following half siblings from the union of Luis San Luis and Cornelia Berlanga: Natividad; Olympia Ferrer; Carridad; Anita; Lorenzo; and Roberto.
She had the following siblings from the union of Luis San Luis and Guillerma Ferrer: Corazon de Los Reyes; Leopoldo; Luisita Diaz; Elpidia Himor; Edwardo; and Jose.
All the above-listed siblings are deceased.
She is survived by her half-sibling, Loreto Trinidad Escarda and her children: Raul, Fiel, Leah Hepler, Joal, Lyda Bond, her 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church at 9641 20th Ave SW, Seattle, Washington, 98106. The service will start at 11am on Thursday, September 26th. There will not be a viewing or reception on Thursday.
