Lutgarda Guzman Alejo Staley, age 77, died peacefully at 2:13 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. Lutgarda, retired Registered I.V. Nurse, is survived by her husband of 33 years, William B. Staley, retired high-school teacher; daughter: Mary Jo & husband, Patrick; brothers & their wives: Drs. Manuel & Evelyn Guzman and Drs. Generoso & Antonia Guzman. Lutgarda was preceded in death by her former husband, Dr. Joaquin D. Alejo, her brother-and-his wife, retired U.S. Navy, Narciso Jr. & Tessie Guzman, and with numerous brilliant nieces, nephews, and their children.
