Lyle H. Mithun

Lyle H. Mithun passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 5, 2015.  Lyle was born in Hoffman, Minn on March 30, 1932.  Lyle was preceded in death by his wife Gloria of 54 yrs, also son Harlan, granddaughter Elisha.  Lyle was survived by two sons, Ronnie and Mitchell; grandchildren James, Darrin, Justin, Christina, Michelle and 6 great-grandchildren.  Lyle served in Germany during WWII and The Korean War.  During the Korean War he was wounded (1952).  He was awarded the Purple Heart, The Korean Service Metal with two Bronze Stars for fighting the enemy in North Korea, The United Nations Service Medal, along with five other Ribbons, and Medals for WWII and The Korean War.  After both wars, Lyle went to work for Belshaw Bros: as a machinist until his retirement.
