I am sorry I never had the opportunity to meet Lynn. He seemed like a remarkable man having two careers that served others. Like Lynn, my career with the Seattle Fire Department also began at Ladder 11 but 44 years later. I included a photo from Lynn’s Seattle Fire Department I.D. card.

I had the opportunity to serve Lynn a couple of times during my time at Engine 32 in West Seattle. It was also not uncommon to run into him in the halls during our many calls to Merrill Gardens. Always quick with a smile and happy to talk abouut the old days, he also liked to talk about his service in WWII and his travels around the world. I am always happy to see a fireman enjoy a long and happy retirement and Lynn certainly seemed to fit that bill. Rest in peace, brother.

Diane & Pam – How wonderful that you had your Dad in your life for so long. I know he’ll be missed.

I have lots of fond memories from our Portland St. years!

Fondly, Kay
