Obituary

Lynn Kennedy (Lynn Frank), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend, sadly passed away Tuesday, October, 18, 2022 surrounded by love & family.

Seattle born March 5, 1949 and having lived most of her life around the South Seattle area, she lived several of her younger elementary years with her Mother and siblings in areas of Alaska, such as Spenard, Chugiak, Anchor Point and finally Homer. Her brother recalls that their school was a one room hall, divided by 3 rows that indicated what grade you were in. Lynn was the 3rd oldest sibling of 9, to her mother Betty.

Moving back to Tokeland, Washington just before Alaska’s big earthquake, she met and married her husband Eugene of 54 Years in 1968 while walking down Delridge Way in Seattle with her girlfriend. Eugene hollered out asking where they were going, to which she replied “White Center”. He swung the car around and picked them up, giving them a ride up to White Center. In a little restaurant there, they talked and enjoyed a Coca-Cola together. Seven months later Eugene proposed, stating that if she wanted to get married “…the rings are on my dresser”. A few days later, she showed him the ring on her finger, indicating that she had accepted his proposal. Over their years, they welcomed 2 children, son Walter in 1970 and daughter Debora in 1972.

Lynn worked a majority of her life in the Production and Assembly Line field for medical & HVAC manufacturers. She was always praised for her attention to detail and exceptional quality of work, and was highly admired by her peers and leadership. Despite this, she always dreamed of being an interior decorator and loved to decorate her home and especially her deck for beauty and relaxation for all who visited. One of her favorite things to often do was thrift shop at local stores & also take Labor Day weekend trips to Packwood, WA, looking for “rinky dink” things to decorate with and often “adopted” little animal figurines for her china hutch farm. She often spoke of her dream to retire on a big spacious farm with one of every animal that could live out their days eating her green grass and just being happy.

Lynn was an incredibly remarkable woman. Passionate, funny, the light of the room, the rock in all of our hearts. She was all of our “everything” and no words can adequately describe the massive impact she has had on all of our souls and lives. She put everyone first and pressed on with all her might and conviction to make life better for everyone. She profoundly did that for us all. She worked her whole life and sadly had to medically retire around 2015 and dementia began to invade her beautiful mind. Until the very end she fought with humor, great love and Grace.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, 2 children, 3 grandchildren, loving siblings and countless dear friends. Our “Lynn” aka “Momma”, “Sis” “P #2” and “Tweet”, will forever be greatly loved and so terribly missed.
