Majorie was born to Ella and Jerry Lee on February 18, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The family relocated to Walla Walla, Washington in 1950. Majorie married Marcella Clifton Long September 20, 1959. Marcella preceded Majorie in death.
Majorie worked at the Boeing Company in the culinary division for two years. She then started her career in the hospitality industry where she worked for the following hotels: Claremont, Warwick and Seattle Sheraton and Washington Athletic Club where she retired from in 2002.
Majorie was an accomplished cook, loved westerns and was a classic movie and music buff. She loved to collect ducks, perfume bottles and cookbooks. Majorie’s favorite sport was baseball and she was an avid Seattle Mariner fan.
On September 22, 2007 Majorie was called home. She is survived by four children; Marcell Jeff Beaver, Valerie Randy Williams, Kenneth Evette, and Jeff Janell Roberts; two sisters Teresa Lee and Pamela Larry; her grandchildren Nicole, Devon, Noel, Diatrae, Deanna, Elijah, Micaiah, Kallai, Faye, Jessica, Adam, Marcus and Malcolm. Special friends Judy Tobias of 60 years who preceded her in death. Ruthie Morris, childhood friend, Elaine Christopher a dear friend of more than 33 years.
We would like to give special thanks to the ICU team of Tacoma General, Life Care Center of Federal Way, WA and the ICU Team at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Juan Iregui for his compassion, caring and understanding during our family’s difficult time.
