Manuel Ebalo Echon, 77, of Seattle, WA, passed away on August 8, 2025. Born on September 30, 1947, in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines, Manuel lived a vibrant life marked by kindness, generosity, and a contagious sense of humor. A dedicated family man, he cherished promoting togetherness with his loved ones.

Manuel’s distinguished career included service in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and a Vietnam War Veteran, followed by roles as a U.S. Postal Worker as a Mail Handler, an Environmental Services Tech at Seattle Central Community College, and a Supply Chain Materials Manager at the University of Washington Medical Center, where he retired. His passions were diverse and brought joy to many: raising roosters, chickens, and goats; collecting cars; enjoying poker and slots at the casino; traveling to visit relatives; thrifting; and cheering for boxing and NBA basketball. He also loved watching Filipino TV shows with his beloved wife, Catalina.

Manuel is survived by Catalina, his wife; daughter Nancy (Thomas); sons Michael, Ronald (Sirina), Joel, and Spencer; grandchildren Marcella (Donavin), Micah, Masen, Mila, Samuel, Sally, Theodore, and Maribelle; and his dogs, DJ and Taro. He was predeceased by his son, Anthony. Manuel’s warmth and ability to make friends left a lasting legacy.
