Marcella was born May 31, 1913 in Cosmopolis, Washington. She passed away September 6, 2003 in Olympia, Washington at the age of 90 years. Marcella is survived by her daughter, Fannett Welsch, two sons, Henry and Don Smith, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. Your Mother was a very special lady and we will remember her with fondness
Once in a while someone passes through your life who leaves a mark on your heart. That was Marcella for me. While I only knew her for about two weeks because she shared a room with my Mom Carol Loomis at Mother Joseph’s, it was Marcella who made me smile,laughed with me, and sympathized with me when my mom she has Alzheimer’s was less than a kind soul. She always made it easier to visit and her compassion and quick wit was appreciated. I was so sad and shocked to learn she had passed away!
Thank you, Marcella, for the few moments we spent together. You were a sweetheart!
