MARGARET K. “PEGGY” BALDWIN

Age 65, was born on August 22, 1940, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She died on May 22, 2006, in Seattle, Washington, at the family home. Described as the ”glue of the family,” Peggy was known as a catalyst that brought people together, including family, friends, and colleagues. She was committed to the idea of service through her work as a librarian and educator. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Richard E. Baldwin, of Seattle, WA; one son, Robert L. Baldwin, of Seattle, WA; mother, Alice Thompson Kearns, of Sebring, OH; and two brothers, Rollin Heidi Kearns, of Germany, and Francis Janet Kearns, of Pittsford, NY. Commemorative services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Seattle First Baptist Church, 1111 Harvard Ave., Seattle. Committal services will follow at 3:00 PM at Edens Memorial Cemetery on Guemes Island in the San Juan Islands. It was our pleasure to know Peggy when we were working with her and Dick on the CHCofC. She was always so optimistic, helpful, and welcoming….a joy to serve with. Tom visited her site on Guemes Island end of May and prayed for her and for Dick at this time of his terrible loss; Earl and Alice joined our prayers to his. Sincerely,
