Obituary
Margaret Mary Young was born October 19. 1924 and went to be with the Lord August 18, 2013. She was 88 years old and lived most of her life in New Orleans as a member of St. Raymond Catholic Church and moved to Seattle in 1979. She became a member of Immaculate Conception Church where her love and devotion of her Catholic faith, her family and her friends were recognized by the entire congregation.
She was a member of the Immaculate Gospel Choir, the 1st Gospel Choir in the Archdiocese of Seattle. She was a willing volunteer at most church activities and helper to the sick and homebound. At the age of 75, she became a certified chore worker for Catholic Community Services.
She was preceded in death by her parents Isreal and Rose Celestine Young and siblings Shirley Christophe, Mercedes Smith, Willie Young, Bertrand Young, and Freddie Young.
Survivors include daughter Joycelyn Dixon, son Leonard Young, granddaughter Dana Dixon, grandson Shawn Young, great-grandson Jalen Dixon, and great-granddaughter Leonna Young as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends in both Seattle and New Orleans.
Aunt Margaret was blessing to me and made it possible for me to prosper in life. She was always giving of her time and Love.
I miss her dearly.but glad I was able to let her know how much she was, is and forever will be Loved.
