Obituary

Marguerite Boss Coulter, 90, Seattle, died Thursday, August 11, 2016. 

 

Born in Yakima, Washington on March 17, 1926.  She attended grade school in Moxee, Washington and then went to Yakima High School, graduating in 1944. 

 

Following high school, Marguerite attended Yakima Valley Community College and then transferred to UCLA, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in the late 1940’s.

 

She then moved to Seattle and taught elementary school in the Rainier School District for 25 years.  She married Kenneth Coulter in 1962.  Upon his death she married his brother James Coulter.  She was active in the Women’s University Club in Seattle for many years, especially the book sales project.

 

She was proceeded in death by her mother Alice, father Reuben, twin sister Elaine, first husband Kenneth and second husband James.  She is survived by her brother Keith R. and Delores Boss of Moxee, Washington; a nephew Patrick and Danielle Boss, Conner and Caitlin of Moses Lake, Washington and a niece Kimberly Karg, Courtney, Haley, and Jody of New Rochelle, New York.

 

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 19th at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, 1732 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Plaid Door in Yakima, WA or the Women’s University Club in Seattle, WA.  Private inurnment will be done later in August at Terrace Heights Mausoleum, Yakima, Washington.
