Obituary
Born January 1, 1940 in Cassano Murge Italy, Maria was 1 of 5 children. She was married in 1957 to Vito for 53 years before he passed in 2010. She always missed her Family in Italy but their little comfortable home in South Park was always home sweet home to her. She had so many wonderful friends and neighbors and considered many of them just like family.
Despite Marias diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis at the early age of 25, she always tried her best to manage the pain. Her last years were spent at Burien Nursing and Rehab where the staff provided Maria with so much care, love and attention.
Vito and Maria shared the love of many wonderful things together which included gardening. Maria canned and would harvest everything that she could from their huge organic garden including fava beans but her homemade spaghetti sauce was the best! Maria loved to entertain and prepare her large delicious home cooked meals to all who entered. She also loved to crochet, knit & sew.
Maria had a great love for all children. Her grandchildren, Heidi and Justin had her whole heart and were the apple of her eye and the feelings were mutual. Her favorite question that she never failed to ask as soon as they walked in the door to visit was ” Did you eat?” And straight to the kitchen they went. Rest in Peace Grandma~ We Love You.
Lots of good memories with Vito and Maria. She will be missed, but is in a much better place now.
She will be missed!
May you rest in peace dear sweet lady, be free of pain and meet the love of your life, Vito. I love you.
Your mom was so so good to my grandma Mary Pivetta. May your parents meet up with my grandparents and my mom and have a big dinner and drink lots a wine.
I am so sorry for your loss. May she R.I.P.
Moments are temporary
memories are forever.
Many happy memories spent with Maria and Vita down in SouthPark. Her smile was contagious and now Heaven will be lit up with that Smile and twinkle in her eyes. Rest in Peace.
Condolences. I know this month or so has been tough. I can relate (I lost my sis in May). Just know that our hearts go out to you Anna and your family. Just like my sis, your mom too is in Heaven watching us all from above. Her pain and suffering is no longer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are here for you. Love you, karen
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family . I know how hard it is to lose a parent and can only say that she is not suffering any more. I didn’t know you mom very well but we were neighbors for a long time in south Park. I admired both your dad and mom.
