Obituary

Marilyn peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2016. She was born a twin, Marilyn Elena Maki to Arnold and Sylvia Maki in Albany CA on December 16, 1942.

In 1964 she relocated to Spokane WA and went on to graduate from Kinmen Business School as a legal secretary. She then worked in the entertainment department at Expo 74 and Grange Insurance.  On May 5, 1977 Marilyn married the love of her life Robert Williams.  In 1984 the family relocated to Gresham OR where she worked for Perry Children’s Center and Grange Insurance.  In 1990 she relocated to Burien WA and in 1998 she made her final move to Federal Way, Washington. Marilyn was an independent loving woman who enjoyed reading, crafting, the ocean and spending time with her family. Marilyn had many friends and was loved by everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Sylvia Maki, twin sister Carolyn, sisters Sally and Pat, son Kirk and her baby that she has always yearned to hold again Sara Mae Williams.  She leaves behind to forever mourn her death, sisters Cheryl and Carol, her husband of 39 years Robert Williams, her children, Laura Nelson, Edward (Younghee) Nelson, Carolyn Nelson, Colleen (Dan) Myers, Eric (Melissa) Nelson, Jason Nelson, Marilyn Nelson and Nicole Nelson, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her beloved Kitty, many nieces, nephews and treasured friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Cheney WA.

May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I Love you & miss you my friend. We had 28 years of love, laughter,& beautiful memories. You live forever in my heart & those of many others. I know you are watching over us all & holding the beatiful daughter you did not get to hold in life.

Mom was a regal woman, so strong, loving, patient, and kind. She touched so very many people. God now holds hr in the palm of His hand. We shall hold her always in our hearts.
