Marion Boyd Daniel was born in Tifton, GA on May 10, 1955. He was the fourth born out of six children during the union of Cary Daniel Sr. and Essie Bell Daniel. His mother unfortunately passed away before his thirteenth birthday, while he was raised in a Methodist family. He later attended Tift County High School until mid 1972.
Marion enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 19, 1972. He worked as a Cannon Crewman during his military career, while serving one tour of duty in South Korea. Staff Sergeant Daniel was honorably discharged on August 19, 1980 after his worthy reenlistment in 1976.
Marion stayed in Seattle after his separation from Fort Lewis in Washington State. He worked as a financial clerk for a federal agency, after he went back to school in 1987. His retraining paid off after he landed similar work at AIM Aviation in 1991. He eventually changed jobs in 1996, and worked for Applied Precision as a manufacturing tech for twelve years.
Marion’s fortune changed during the recession, after being fully employed for almost forty years. He consequently made a living from his transitional work skills until his untimely passing on March 18, 2017. He never gave up his passion for cooking, while he had a reputation for being an outdoorsman amongst his family and friends.
Marion will be remembered for being a loving husband during his life. He married Brenda Mitchell on July 25, 1995. Their marriage occurred in Las Vegas at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel 22 years ago. His legacy will be forever tied to their undeniable matrimony.
Marion Daniel is survived by his wife, his younger sister and brother, two stepchildren, and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, two older brothers and one older sister.
Uncle Marion you will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior. We love you.
