Marlin R. “Bob” Erdman
Bob passed away September 8, 2015, in Seattle, WA. He was born to Marlin H. Erdman and Mabel A. Still Erdman June 22, 1942, in York, PA. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1964. In 1969 Bob moved to Seattle. He then met Claudia Harper and they married in 1970. He worked for the U.S. Post Office. He then went to work for the City of Seattle in the Customer Service Department of the Water Department. By the time he retired in 2007, Customer Service was a part of Seattle Public Utilities. Bob loved helping people. He was especially happy when he could help install a phone for someone. He began in computers with a Kaypro CPM, and then went into the world of Microsoft computers as a hobby. He is survived by his wife, Claudia, his brother Daniel (Susan) Erdman in Webb City, Missouri, his nephews Nathan (Rachel) Erdman in Owings Mills, Maryland, Jonathan (Andrea) Erdman in Louisville, Kentucky, and Joel (Christina) Erdman in Joplin, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1215 Thomas, Seattle, WA 98109.
I am sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed our visits and Bob’s lively conversation and sense of humor.
