Obituary
Martin R. Luedtke
Martin was born April 22, 1915 in Superior, WI to August and Elsie Luedtke. In 1933 he graduated from Central High School, Duluth, MN. He married Rosa Froehlich on October 12, 1946. Martin moved to Seattle, WA in 1952, where he worked as a machinist, tool and die maker, and programmer for the Boeing Company until his retirement on January 1, 1979. After his retirement he moved to Auburn where he lived for 21 years before moving to Evergreen Court in Bellevue.
Martin could often be found ”puttering” in the garden or his shop. He loved to fix things or make the right tool to create something he’d dreamed up. He also enjoyed working with his computer, sending email, making greeting cards, and playing solitare. Martin passed away peacefully on February 17, 2006 at his home in Bellevue, WA.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosa; three sons, Gerald Rita, Beecher IL, James Susan, South Boston, VA, Dwight Cynthia, Troutville, VA; one daughter, Alice Larry Schultz, Bellevue, WA; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Luedtke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Martin’s name to the Group Health Hospice Program.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 16231 NE 6th St, Bellevue.
Please sign the online memorial guestbook at www.bonneywatson.com.
The memorial to the Will County Farm Bureau Foundation will help provide scholarships to students seeking college degrees. The foundation will provide 20 this year in the amount of $1,000.00 each. Mr. Luedtke’s name will appear on the memorial board in the Will County Farm Bureau building.
Mom, I was so happy to be with you and Dad and the rest of the family in the last weeks before Dad was called home. Susie and I will remember fondly the last time we visited you in your home at Evergreen Court and listened to Dad talk about the many experiences of his youth. God keep you in His loving care.

We rejoice in knowing that Dad is with Jesus. We look forward to being with him and all the saints in heaven when our walk of faith is finished.
Please accept our condolances and prayers.
The Leslie Family
While personally unacquainted with Mr. Luedtke, judging by his progeny, he must have been a very good man.
My sympathy and my love in your loss. I also celebrate with you in the homecoming of your Husband and Father.
Prayers.
Angela
Alice, Charlotte and I have kept you and your family in mind, heart and prayers over the past few months as you’ve walked through this time. Thank you for sharing a little of your father’s story online as it was neat to read about — especially since we were unable to attend the memorial. May you, your mother and family receive God’s peace, healing and joy during this time knowing your father is with Him and enjoying the paradise Jesus spoke of on the day of his death.
I only met Mr. Leudtke once at his daughter, Alice’s home; but was struck by what dear person he was. He and his wife raised a beautiful family. He made a lasting contribution to our lives.
Dear Rosa and family, We are not able to be at Martin’s services but have good memories of him. We will forward his obit to Elsie who is living in Kelso. Sorry that it has been so long since we talked. Love from Bob and Pat
