Please accept my condolences. The loss of a loved one is truly a difficult time for family and friends. It is encouraging to know that God has loving concern for bereaved ones. God does not plan for us to suffer from sickness and death forever. He promises that one day he will ‘swallow up death forever’ Isaiah 25:8,9 and “No resident will say ‘I am sick’ Isaiah 33:24 We will also have the opportunity to be reunited with our loved ones. According to scriptures such as Isaiah 26:19; Hosea 13:14, John 5:18,29 and Revelation 20:13, there will be a resurrection. This hope brings me comfort, strength and encouragement. I have faith in those scriptures because Titus 1:2 tells us that God can not lie. Please review these scriptures in your own copy of the bible. May these words bring you comfort, strength and encouragement.

It was so nice to have Marvin as a cousin. My sister and I primarily knew him in our youth and he was always a joy to be around. We will all miss him, but we know he is in a better place, in no pain, and among smiles all around.

I knew that Marvin was special even when we were five years old and living on Evanston Avenue. I moved away in 1957 and have missed him ever since.

Rest in peace, Marvin.
