Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Jordan (nee Pierce), 91, of SeaTac, WA died peacefully in her sleep on January 31, 2025.  She was the original multi-hyphenate, as she mastered being a doting mother of four, homemaker, seamstress, baker, florist, and business partner to her husband Richard.  She is best remembered by family and friends who knew that there was always fresh homemade cookies and a pot of coffee to share when stopping by to visit.

She was born March 24, 1933 to Mary and William Pierce in Seattle Washington.  Even from a young age, she enjoyed being social; she was involved in numerous high school activities, including Glee Club and youth pageants where she was chosen as Miss South End Associated.  Her sociable nature led to her being an in-demand manicurist to Seattle’s ladies who lunch, as well as being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Room Mother, PTA President, active church member, and SeaTac Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award recipient.  Along with her husband, she gave generously to church, youth programs and various charities such as the Shriners.

An avid traveler, she and her husband enjoyed cruises, trips to Europe, as well as Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Jordan, parents William and Mary Pierce, brother Billy Pierce, and sisters Thelma Kissinger and Susan Cordle.  She is survived by her sons Daryl (Amy), Doug (Dianne), Dru (Steve), daughter Darcie, grandchildren Jocelyn Mobley (Jakob), Pierce Jordan, Jordan Crumb (Kaitlin), Joshua Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Alyse Galfano-Henderson (Tony), Zack Galfano (Michelle), and great-grandchildren Johnathan Mobley, Olivia Galfano and Sloane Henderson.
