Mary Elizabeth Miller

April 7, 1932 - October 6, 2011

Obituary

Our beloved mother, Mary Elizabeth Miller, is now resting in the arms of Jesus!  She was born on April 7, 1932 in Spokane, Washington.  She was one of four children preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Mitchell, her brothers, Robert Mitchell and George Mitchell and one surviving sister, Ruthie Cutz.  Mary Beth was married almost 55 years to David J. Miller (deceased).  She is survived by her loving children, Karen Wadel, Shirley Clark, Michael Miller, sons-in-laws, Bruce Wadel, and John Clark, three grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Klingler, Jesse Clark and Corianne (Niko) Peralta-Clark, and four great grandchildren, Austin and Callie Klingler and Collin and Jordan Peralta-Clark.

Our mom will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She had a strong faith and love for people.  She was kind, caring and always put other people’s needs before her own.  You will never be forgotten momma and always in our hearts.  Thank you for your legacy of love.  The best is yet to come!

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Garden Terrace where she spent the last three weeks of her life.

Remembrances can be made to Hospice, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, WA  98466.

I love you Grams. You were a very special grandmother and I’m happy to say I knew you for the first 27 years of my life. Thank you for everything you have done for me and said to me. I cherish the times I spent with you: sleepovers at your house, Mariner’s games, family get togethers. Each memory I have with you is a positive experience. During the hard itmes in my life, you were one of the few people I turned to, and you listened as long as I needed to talk. Thank you for your support and love.

Mary Beth –

I will miss your kind, warm smile. How lucky are your kids that they had you for a mom! I will miss you at the family functions but do know that your memory and beautiful spirit will always be with us. Roxann Swenson (Karen’s sister-n-law)

Karen,

I have such fond memories of your mother She was so warm and caring. I remember her making snacks for us after school; it seemed I was there with you almost every day after school.

May she rest in peace.

Karen, I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Beth at your housewarming years ago .and she stood out as being a very kind soul who loved to paint. My thoughts are with you and your family during this time. She will not be forgotten.

I’m Millie (Johnston) Miller’s daughter. Your Mom and mine went to Nurses Traning together. My Mom passed away in April 2018. I absolutely loved your Mom. I always felt like she was an extension to my Mom. She loved me so unconditionally.

I’m missing my Mom today and was thinking about yours as well. I miss them both.
