Mary was born in Mississippi, to the union of Louis and Nellie Parker, who preceded her in death. Her husband (Johnney Carter), who also preceded her in death, passed away in 2009.
When Mary and their family moved to Seattle in the ’50s, there were five siblings; Margaret Victor of New Jersey, New Jersey; Artoria Dixon of Brookhaven, Mississippi; and Helen Brazil of Colorado Springs, Colorado. One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, six sons; Kenny Hill, Leon Hill, Sylvester Hill, Gregory Hill, David Hill, and John Hill; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.
Viewing will occur on Wednesday, January 10th at 10:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home. 16445 International Blvd. Burial will conclude within Tahoma National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. at 18600 S.E. 240th St. Kent, Washington 98042.
