Mary Lou Sifford (née Paladin), age 82, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Silver Creek, Washington.

Born on September 8, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, Mary Lou was the daughter of Lena Viloria (Tommy) and James Andrew Paladin. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Federal Way High School in Federal Way, Washington, with the Class of 1960.

Mary Lou devoted her life to her family and found great joy in caring for those she loved. She was a loyal wife to her husband Robert Sifford and a devoted mother to her children: sons Tony Guerrero (Lori) and Rick Guerrero (Lise), Robin S Sifford, and daughters Liliian Gaines-Guerrero and Denell Sifford-Adair. Her love extended across generations to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were blessed by her warmth and presence.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Don Richard Paladin and her sister Susan Bainter (Richard). Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers James K. Paladin, Larry J. Paladin Sr., George Paladin, Robert Paladin, and Ralph John Manzo; as well as her sister Lillian Manzo.

Mary Lou’s kitchen was the heart of many cherished memories. She especially loved cooking during the holidays—a tradition that became one of her most treasured ways to express love for her children and grandchildren. Her meals were more than nourishment; they were acts of devotion that brought everyone together.

Those who knew Mary Lou will remember her as a steadfast presence—loyal as a wife, nurturing as a mother and grandmother, supportive as a sister, and kind as a friend. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.

Though she has left this world, Mary Lou has gone Home to be with her eternal family. Until we meet again, she will remain forever in our memory and hearts. A Memorial Gathering will be held on June 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Washington Memorial Park 16445 International Blvd. Sea-Tac WA

I will miss picking up the phone to ask about a recipe. Even if it was as easy as going to the store and reading the back of the can. Just hearing her voice always put a smile on my face. I will always cherish the memories we had together. Love you grandma Mary I will never forget you.
