Dear Becky’s Family,
I wish to express my sincere sorrow to you all and would like you to know that Becky was a teacher who gave to her students the love of learning. She was a positive and cheerful person and understood those who needed a little support from her along the way. Her third grade students came and helped my first graders with their reading once a week for several years. I enjoyed working with her and will always remember her warmth and smile at Lowell. I will keep you in my prayers.
DEAR HERBERS FAMILY, MY CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO YOUR FAMILY.I TAUGHT WITH BECKY AT McCARVER ELEMENTARY FOR MANY YEARS. WE WERE GOOD FRIENDS AND I WILL MISS HER GREATLY. WE SHARED BOTH THE CITY AND STATE WHERE WE WERE BORN AND OUR FIRST NAMES WHICH WE DIDN’T USE.
SHE WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS ALWAYS.
SINCERELY,
CAROLYN ROTHWELL
Dear Al, Jim and Deb,
I will always remember all the wonderful times, silly times, and serious times I have had with Becky over the past thirty years. She was a wonderful friend and co-worker. I share your sadness and will miss her.
I know I join many other parents of students at Lowell Elementary School in remembering Ms. Herbers as a wonderful third grade teacher. My son was in her class in 1995. Being a teacher that respects and encourages the skills of her students says a lot about a person. My condolences to her family and friends.
Debby sorry to hear you lost your sister. My thoughts are with you and your family. Barb
My condolences to all the family. I worked with Becky at McCarver Elementary School. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by all her former students and friends. Becky is and was loved by all. My prayers are with you all for “strength” thru this difficult times. B. Lopez
Becky,
You are such a wonderful sister, sister-in-law and aunt. You were always putting others first and never yourself. You never thought much of yourself. You will always be remembered as a warm, caring, loving and very special person in our lives. We are going to miss you but we know deep in our hearts that you are in a better place and are much happier. Love you for ever and ever.
I am so sad to hear you passed Becky! You were a dear friend to my mom. When she passed you were a great comfort to me and my family. I know you are both together having fun times in heaven. I am sorry that I am only finding out now 14 years later.
No matter how old you are, your teachers First name is always “Mr”, “Mrs” or “Miss”. Almost 40 years later, I still remember running into Miss Herbers at the old Chinese restaurant on Dadh Pt Rd and 312th. I think she was just as shocked as I was. Very few McCarver students lived near Federal Way. From that day forward until i went on the Jr High, that was our little bond.
She sure did like Spout and Toad and Junilee.
I don’t even remember what made me think of her today, but was sad to see she passed over 15 years ago. So sorry for your loss.
