Mary S Oien
Mary passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017. Mary Shannon Scott was born May 29, 1931 in Cheraw, Colorado. She lived with her parents Clyde and Florence Scott, her sister Joyce, brother Merle, and sister Sherrill. They lived in Colorado, California, Oregon and finally Washington. Mary attended Auburn High School and graduated in 1948. She married Keith E Oien in 1952. They bought their first disposal company in south Seattle in 1953 and were self-employed for the next 25 years. Mary loved working with Keith. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother and was always caring for others. Keith and Mary sold their businesses and retired in 1979. They spent the next 35+ years enjoying each other, working outdoors, and taking long drives in the country. She’s survived by her two daughters Gayle Pearl and Janelle Paglia, four grandchildren, Cory and Katie Pearl, Joseph and Shannon Paglia, and four great grandchildren.
