We did not hear the news until it was printed in the Rafu Shimpo of August 17, 2004. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Nancy and Richard, we know that Bud had a full and significant life. He had a special role in my life when I was growing up. Especially through the Boy Scout troop 41.
It is certain that he is in heaven and enjoying peace and freedom from any physical pain and disabilities.
Love, Don and Marlene Okada

Bud Fujimoto was the “Voice of the Eagle” for many Scouts in Troop 41, Pasadena, CA. He was a mentor to me in Scouting, and was instrumental in my choice of career as a professional Scout Executive. He exemplified what an Eagle Scout is, and I will miss Bud and his cheerful rememberances of his service to the youth of the Pasadena community.
