Obituary
Matthew David Mesaros of Seattle passed away on November 2, 2022. Matthew was born on January 27, 1987, at the University of Washington. He graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in 2005 and went on to complete multiple business classes at Highline College.
Nothing was more important to Matt than family. He loved big and over the years became a collector of people and brought them into the family. His love and care for others was known by all, his generosity knew no bounds. He found the love of his life and finally had the family he always wanted in Jennifer and her children Max and Mia, who he loved as his own. His selfless nature touched many and was the purest example of love. Matthew was an avid sports fan and athlete. He played and trained for many years as a premier soccer player which was the sport closest to his heart and it showed in his support of our local Sounders team. He was also an accomplished baseball player, playing on a select team during his youth. He had complete love of his city of Seattle, and it showed in his support for our local teams including the Seahawks which he loved. He had the best sense of humor, and his laugh was infectious and absolutely unique to him.
Matthew had the best sense of fashion, he loved his watches, shoes and hats and had the collection to showcase his amazing personality. In his adult life, he grew his culinary talents and became an accomplished chef. He loved to host his friends and family to show off his culinary skills. This came from his servant’s heart and his capacity to love deeply. He showed up for everyone and to the things he committed to, he always brought his “A” game. Matthew loved his music and through the years starting with his love for hip hop and R&B and eventually turned and became a fan of country music. He enjoyed going to country music concerts with his fiancé Jennifer and family. He was open to life and he lived it well. His spirit and joy are irreplaceable and his memory will be a source of light to all he touched. Matthew will be missed by all, and his memory will live on in our love.
Matthew is survived by his Father David Mesaros (Stepmother Diane Mesaros), Mother Stacy Mesaros (Lynn McGregor), Sister Mariesa Olaf (Lori Olaf, Sawyer Olaf), Fiancé Jennifer Odegard, their children Max and Mia, His Grandparents June and Robert Howe. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his beautiful bouquet friends that he cherished deeply.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the college/trust fund established by the family for Max and Mia. Matt would want us to take care of them as he loved them as his own. Donations can be sent to Matthew’s Mother @stacy-mesaros by Venmo.
