Obituary
Matthew Patrick RICE ‘Gentle Soul-Heart of Gold’ Matt was born October 24th, 1987 and died too soon on November 13th, 2007. He was loved by all and brought smiles and laughs to everyone he met. Only good things can be said of Matt. When you least expected it, he offered random acts of kindness to family and friends. Matt blessed the lives of his parents, Barb and Jerry, from the day he was born. He loved his family passionately, and was a joy from the very beginning of his short life. He leaves behind his devastated parents, sisters, Brigette and Katie Rose, Grandpa Conlan, many aunts and uncles, twenty five cousins, and lots of wonderful friends. He was truly a gift from God, a wonderful son and a perfect older brother. He enjoyed making music, all things technical, snowboarding and improving the sounds system on his car. Matt attended Holy Rosary School from kindergarten through eighth grade, where he received the Excellence in Technology Scholarship. He graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School, and was currently attending South Seattle Community College. He worked at Marshalls and later Radio Shack in Westwood Village. Matt will be greeted in heaven by his Grandpa and Grandma Rice, Uncle Patrick and his Grandma Conlan. The tremendous outpouring of love and support by people that were touched by his gentle soul is a testament to his kindness. The Vigil Service for Matt will be on Tuesday, November 20, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church and the Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. also at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle. Please send remembrances to the Living Legacy Foundation.
