Dear Carrie and family,

It was with sadness that I learned of your Mom’s passing this morning. Nothing compares to the emptiness of losing a parent … the person you naturally seek out is no longer available to you in the same way. May the strength and wisdom that both of your parents gave you be a source of comfort and of pride in the future of your family.

We are very thankful and forever indebted to your parents for helping us during our first few years in Seattle. When we my mom and 7 brothers and sisters migrated to the US, they were the first people to really reach out to help us. Uncle Jordan helped me get my first job and Auntie May would often cook food for us. She was a woman of strong faith and always encouraged us to attend church. She was a big influence in our lives and we’re very thankful to have known her. Our love and prayers go out to the Wong family.
