I have fond memories of Summer 1988 when Med took me to Mount Ranier!! I had a wonderful visit with Uncle Joe & Aunt Mildred! God bless Med & family,,, cousin, Raymonde xx
What wonderful memories I have of “Med” during his ministry at Emmanuel here in Mount Vernon. He was also a dear family friend and stayed with me and my older sister the night and early morning that our youngest sister was born! My sincere sympathy to you – his family who were also dear friends with whom we spent many fun times. It is because of Christ, that we know we will see Med again! Love, Dena
Med was a true disciple of Christ who knew what costly grace meant! I appreciate so much the time that he put in to disciple me. He is greatly missed but it is assuring and exciting knowing he was met by our Good Shepard saying ‘Well done my child’
What a blessing to have experienced Med’s arm around my shoulder, his sincere and generous prayers, his wisdom and encouragement. What a blessing that Med has been added to our ‘great cloud of witnesses’!
Our heart felt condolences are sent on the passing of Med. He was an amazing man of God and influenced our lives in many ways. Thank you for sharing him with us.
We will miss tie times we had with you two. Our prayers are with you during these difficult days. God is faithful.

Med was one of the kindest, godly, wisdom-filled man we have had the privilege of knowing. He will be missed. Our loss is heaven’s gain as he is now in the presence of our Savior, Jesus.
Judy and I have always had great respect for this very gentle man, our dear friend Med. Med had a great heart for the Lord Jesus and also for people. We will miss him as well as the wisdom and grace that Med demonstrated in his life. Now he’s rejoicing in the Saviour’s presence and we celebrate with his promotion to glory!
Med was obviously a man of God. He loved God and His word and the people around him. His life was a life of service. I felt very blessed when he joined our family, and he brought much joy to my Aunt Judy. I will miss him dearly, but I know I will see Him in heaven!
What a lasting fingerprint Med left on me and my spiritual walk into the light of Jesus my Savior and Lord. Always a kind and encouraging word along with that smile that lit up all around him. I am grateful God allowed me to know Med and his wonderful wife Judy. Thank you Judy for sharing him with so many who loved him. Beverly
Med & I had many sessions of bible talk, I learned many key truths from Med. We had fun visiting folks that came to OSBC, I’ll think of him often as I continue on. Thanks Med for being my friend.—>Geo.
Med, you will surely be missed in this realm, but I am very excited to see you again in the next.
My dad was a great leader and compassionate person to others. His life was filled with the fulfillment of preaching God’s word to others. I will remember him for his sense of humor and wittyness. He also provided for our family which was hard at times to do. Love you Dad
Med was my friend and a mentor to me. He prayed with me and encouraged me. He demonstrated the love of Christ to me and to a watching world. I am so thankful for Med and that he was a part of my life!
Med was an awesome man of God and he was always there to pray for you if you needed it. I will miss you Med but I am greatful you are in Heaven shouting victory.
It was not by chance the Lord allowed me to share with Med my early Faith Journey. Med encouraged and help guide me. I am so blessed and enriched for sure. You are a good friend Med.
Med was a great friend, elder and in many ways our pastor. Med you will be missed. May we all achieve just a fraction of what you have done for the Lord!! — Darrel and Lorraine Ford
I knew Med through Our Savior’s Church and our small group Bible study. He added so much Godly wisdom to our discussions. Med was always looking for ways to encourage people. I will miss him greatly but am glad he is now home with his Lord.
We send our condolences to Judy & the family. We know that Med is celebrating with his Lord that he loves so much.
My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Judy, Todd, David, Linda and your families. Uncle Med was a warm and caring man, often teasing us when the family would get together in Sparta @ Grandpa and Grandma Amburgey’s home. I rejoice today that he is now home in Heaven, with Aunt Lorna, Grandpa, Grandma, and my first husband, Bob. May your memories and your faith bring you comfort in the days and months ahead. Praying for you…Laura
Saw the obituary on my Facebook page posted by a person that had gone to Lakewood Baptist. Always wondered where life and God had taken Med. To the family we would like to say that Med was a Wonderful person with a zest for life and for The Lord. He was the youth leader at Lakewood Baptist when we first met him. We had the privilege of having him do our premarital counseling and officiate at our wedding 43 years ago. Lorna was the organist. Many fond memories of them and I know he will be missed by many.
Hello Todd, David and LInda. it has been many years since Emmanual Baptist Church days. Had great phone conversation today with the Borrors of First Baptist Church Lakewood, Calif. where you were before Emmanual Baptist in Mt. Vernon, Wash – later I attended Lakewood. From that phone conversation I did internet search to learn of Med’s passing – my deepest condolences. Don
Yes, I remember Pastor Broussard. He use to speak to our English Service at Seattle Formosan Christian Church back in 1996-1997. He was a dynamic speaker. I always wondered what happened to him. It was hard to think about everyone else, during the time of Pastor Broussard’s passing because my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer around that time and later passed away in September 2012. Thank you Pastor Broussard, and a belated condolence to your family.
Med was a great help to my growing Christian life in the 70s
