After a long and fulfilling life Merrill J. Smith went to join the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013. He was 85 years old. He is now in heaven with his wife Delores Smith married for 58 years. Merrill was born March 1, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by his daughter, Karlene Smith, 3 grandchildren, Harold, Bryan, and David, and 3 great grand children Kelsie, Justin and Ryan. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother. His business ownership of 57 years and playing softball up until his 85th birthday, were the loves of his life. Merrill will be greatly missed by all of his family and many great friends.
I’m going to miss you so much Grandpa Great. Tell Grandma and Corky I said I love them. Watch over me and don’t forget to hit a home run for me.
