Michael John Crosby, age 68 died peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Seattle. Mike died after a hard fought battle with Leukemia.
Mike was married to his high school sweet heart, Diana Crosby, for 49 1/2 years. Mike graduated from Cleveland High School in 1961. He worked for Kelley Clarke/Acosta Sales for 40 years. Mike loved his family and created a lifetime of special memories spending time with his family at their beautiful home in Lake Chelan. He had a unique gift with his sense of humor and bringing a smile to the many lives he touched. Mike will be remembered as a ‘one of a kind’ husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Mike is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Diana; son, Jeff Leann Crosby; daughters, Debbie Jeff Booher, Jill Rockafield Ryan Perovich and Kimberly Steve Birds; grandchildren, Kylie, Taylor, Noelle, Michael, Austin, Kathleen, Ryanne, Brendon and Avery; brother, Ted Shirley Crosby; sisters, Colleen Cowsert and Jean Pete Vargas and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 1790 S. 222nd S., Des Moines, WA 98198. In lieu of flowers, Michael’s family requests that donations be made to the Organ Fund of St. Philomena Church. Checks can be made out to St. Philomena Church with ‘Organ Fund in honor of Mike Crosby’ noted in the memo. The donation can be mailed to the church address listed above.
