Mike,

I remember… walking to Highland Park, then later walking to Denny Jr. High, walking too close to you and getting an elbow pushing me across the sidewalk, Astroland and the field house for basketball and the tennis courts, a pink house on 14th with a picket fence in the front yard, using the fence as a goal and taking turns trying to score goals with a soccer ball, parents bailing out the soccer field with trash cans, you trying to explain what a banana kick was to me, the first video clip of Pele we saw, Seattle Center and the Space Needle, your Atari game, a huge jar of hot sauce your mother made for “burritos”, your comic book collection, discussing the social ramifications of hygiene at Camp Wascowitz, the Kingdome and Sounders games and Mariners games, we were kids then and probably never grew up……Doug

Mike,

although I did not know you well, I know you are deeply loved by your family and the loss of you holds great sorrow. I hope that your family can be comforted with the knowledge that you are and will always be with them, always looking over them and sharing in their lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mike:

I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but i want you to know that you have and always will have wonderful family members. Your sisters Tina and Jennifer, mother Sonja, Duane, Chayce, Logan, Baylee, Raymond, Teri, Debbie, Scott, Kyle and Tanner are the ones who I know and am very wonderfully lucky to know. May you rest well forever and may you and Amanda play catch up forever.

Peace and Love,

Mike:

This is awkward addressing you like this. I wish that it were in person. I am looking at your picture on my mousepad as I type this, and I miss you very much. I do know where you are at, so that is not the problem. I just wish that you were sitting here beside me. I still see your big wonderous smile, and your very compassionate heart. Right now, you are sharing your time with Amanda, and I KNOW that the day will come when we will be together again. The fact that you knew the Lord makes my heart a bit more at ease, but I still wish that I was sitting here with you. I miss you Mike, and I cannot begin to tell you how much I love you.
