Michael “Mike” Rhoads
Youngest son of Jerry and Carolyn Rhoads died on September 13, 2005. Michael was born January 13, 1978 in Seattle, WA. In addition to his parents he is survived by his 2 sisters Kathleen Rhoads and Colleen Reed and brother Jerome Rhoads and his beloved dog Lucky. Michael loved the outdoors, sports, animals, traveling and staying in shape. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 20th at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul, 30525 8th Ave. S. Federal Way, WA. Memorials to Children’s Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 50020 M/S S200, Seattle, WA 98145-5020. Arrangements by Bonney-Watson Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Pt. Rd. 253 839-7317.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your son Mike,may god comfort you and your family.
I only knew Mike through his work, but thought he was a great young man. He was always smiling, polite, and incredibly friendly. His laugh and open smile were infectious.
Please know that your son/brother was very well liked, and that he was always a complete gentleman and very honorable person.

Mike was always a spiritual brother and best friend to me and will be greatly missed and even in his passing that bond will never be broken.

Mike was our best friend. He was always full of life & always had a smile on his face. He loved to laugh, joke around & hang out. He was a loyal friend, always was there for us. We are lucky that we have so many great memories with him & the pictures to show it. We miss you Mike so much. Our life will not be the same with out you. Greg loved you more then you will ever know, as if you were his closest brother. The last words that I heard of Greg & Mike was that they will be Meatheads together til the end!

Happy belated birthday. I love that you are at peace and safe in a place where I can come see you. I cannot tell you how much I miss you. Sometimes I wish I could be with you but it is not my time. Michael, I must be losing my mind but I somehow feel you are listening when I write. As you know last wee I turned 32–I know I cannot believe it. O how I miss you. I think of you so much and I try to remember you voice but as time goes by I worry that I cant remember. Why could you not call me? I would of done anything for you. Jerome sold the house and it is a bit of you so that is hard but necessary for all our sakes. I know you would never want to hurt me but I just cant see my life without you some days and I wonder what you are doing and if you are happy and if you miss us as much. Michael, it is the 12th of sept 2006 and I cannot believe it has been a year since you left. I am dreading tomorrow and cannot believe my life since you died. My whole world upside down and since that day I have felt lost and sad. I think of you every day and so wish you could of been here for Jeromes wedding this weekend. He has done so well and He is really happy, so proud of him. I will see you tomorrow and spend some time one on one just you and me like old times. Pray for us and please I beg you be with us. It is September 19, 2008. It has been three years since you been gone. I came to this site to see if it is still here and obviously it is. I am at Genesis club training. Afterall I went into clubhouse. I help people everyday with mental illness lead a better life. We are all walking for you and with you on October 11th. It is for suicide prevention and we honor you. Life is better. I am no longer married and I no longer work for Alaska. My life has changed so much. I take care of myself and I try to live my best life everyday in hopes that you are proud. I hurt every minute of every day for you to be here on earth but I also know life is the gift you gave me. I love you and I so miss you. First anniversary of your death that I not there but you already know that. Be safe always and thanks for watching over me. Trust me when I say I feel you around and I know you protect our family. I was good friends with Mike during our young Kickboxing, boxing and Dux ryu Ninjitsu training days. I met him when I was 12 yrs old now 39. I just learned right now Thursday May 7 2015 8:30 TX time that he passed away.
Please someone tell me how he died. The last time I had seen Mike was in 2003 at the emerald queen casino and he looked great. We spent some good times together in the Dux ryu Ninjitsu training and kickboxing yrs. He was a great martial artist and fighter. I worked ringside for one of his kickboxing fights. Im devastated!!!! I too lost my bother, to a gang related murder in 2005 which he had no involvement in gangs just the wrong place at the wrong time. Again learning this has just ripped me apart all over again. He is the last person i would have thought to be taken so soon. My heart goes out to all the family with love a prayers.
