Laura is 27 years old and started going to Friendship Adventure activities about four years ago. She liked the dances and the bus trips and special outings to Everett. It is because she is a part of this community that we share our love and support since we fully appreciate that our members seem to leave us sooner than we desire. Laura’s uncle passed away at ate 44 with complications from his Down’s Syndrome. We have attended more funeral services than birthdays for these we treasure, and that our hearts carry a burden for the loss of each special and loving one of them. I was out of town for the funeral for Michelle, but remember her smile and her delight in being with friends.
Just wanted you to know that we appreciate your love and honor her life. The world has been touched with her smile and her genuine acceptance of others as her friend.
With condolences and prayer.
Les, Nancy and Laura Frederick from Friendship Adventures.
Michelle Martin, was a very kind and loving friend who was always there to lighten my heart, I’ll never forget Michelle for who she was for her love as a friend will remain in my heart and she will be with me forever.
To the Martin Family, May each of you find comfort in knowing that God is “near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Psalm 34;18 He has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces.” Isaiah 25;8 Take care,
You can soar like an eagle way up high.
You can fly like a blue angel in the sky.
You can swim with the dolphins in the sea.
You can now forever more let your soul be free.
Michelle your smile would brighten anyone’s day. We are glad you shared that smile with us.
Carolyn and John.
Ceci and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Michelle was such a fun, loving person with a zest for life. She will be truly missed.
Michelle worked with me when she first started at Metro. She was a pleasure to have at work and always friendly and interested in people. I’ll certainly miss her greetings and smiles she always had for me and others.
Ceci, Colleen, Keri, and Ryan- My heart is with you, along with much sympathy for the loss of Michelle. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I’m sorry I didn’t learn about the funeral early enough to attend and give you a hug. love, Allison

Both Michelle Andersen and myself are saddened to hear of her passing. Michelle had so much fun with our group last October down at Disneyland. She always had the best smile!
Michelle will be very missed. I worked with her back in my Metro days when we used to get together for lunch – she was learning how to crochet a blanket for Project Linus. She had such a love for the Wrestlers and Vigo. She had the most amazing spirit.
I had the pleasure of knowing Michelle …. I just recently learned of her illness…. I was so sorry to hear of this sad news.
My heart goes out to all her family and friends. Michelle – God Bless you, you are with Angels now… you are an Angel…
Love
Theresa DiMartino and family
Herb and I travelled with Michelle last year on our wonderful California trip and had a great time with Michelle. One of our memories is going with her on the Buzz Lightyear ride and because of her wheelchair, we all got to go around and around several times without having to get back in line. I know Herb will be sad to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
My husband & I have known Michelle for several years. We met at PJ Pockets where she enjoyed listening to the music and hanging out with friends on the weekends. I always looked forward to seeing her smiling face when we would arrive at the club and she was soooooo excited to hear that we were having a baby!!! She just knew that it was going to be a girl and was excited to share with me that she was going to be an Aunt to a little girl soon as well. I wish that she was still here with us. We were shocked to hear the news that she had passed. I know that she is up above in heaven looking down on us now and until we meet again, she will remain in our hearts forever. Michelle…we love you and miss you already!!!
I’ve known and worked with Michelle for all her years at WTD. She stopped by to talk with me when she visited WTD during the summer, and I so admired her upbeat and optimistic attitude. I will truly miss her sweet, loving nature, and stories about her beloved family.
Good Bye Michelle. You added so much to the workplace and I always appreciated your happy smile. We’ll miss you.
I will always remember your last visit, you bring joy and hope because of your positive attitude and outlook in life.
You will be missed here on earth but i know you are in a better place..where no pain or tears anymore. See you in heaven Michelle!!!
It was always a given that when one would run into Michelle, she would greet you with a smile and pleasant conversation. Her spirit will continue and her presence missed.
Michelle was an inspiration to all of us. She did not let her situation limit her from doing things she wanted to do. I thank God for the opportunity to meet and get to know her. May she rest in His arms forever! To God Be The Glory!
Michelle was a fun person here at work she always had something interesting to share with me. I attended her birthday party last year and really enjoyed her favorite ban. She will be missed. My prayers are with her and the family.
I could always count on Michelle to greet me with a smile at the start of a work day. She shared herself generously and her kind-hearted, gentle spirit will be missed. Heaven most definitely gained a new beautiful angel.
I hope that when I leave this life, I can do it with the smiles and hope that Michelle displayed… and the dolphins.
Michelle brought people together, treating each day as a gift. She accomplished much and enjoyed life as a Special Olympian, devoted aunt, avid music & ice skating fan, helpful colleague, kind friend and advocate for people and animals in need. Michelle was a full participant in life, is cherished and will be missed. Blessings and healing to her family and friends during this time & always.
In the blink of an eye
I didn’t know
That I would have to say goodbye
One day I will go back to that place
Where I last saw your face
And say that I miss your smiles and funny jokes…
We will deeply miss you Michelle
I will miss Michelle. She was one of my first friends when I started working for the County back in 1995. I’ll miss her stories, laughter, dancing and above all, I’m sorry I won’t get the chance to see her wedding day. I always asked when she was going to take that next step. Michelle couldn’t wait for me to FINALLY have a child. Now that he’s here, I’m sad that he won’t get the pleasure of knowing our beautifully spirited friend. Thanks for the hugs, the fun, going to the Storm games and allowing me to be a part of your world. Love You Girlfriend.
My thoughts and prayers going out to the family. Michelle always had a smile on her face. She will be missed.
Michelle was a joy to be around, and a true example of what it means to be a joyful worker, decorating her cubicle with beanie babies and memorabilia, and decorating the halls of County Buildings with her warmth and smile. Her spirit of fun, and zest for life was always present, and the courageous way that she approached life’s challenges was a testament to the strength that came from family and friends who loved her.
Michelle you are such an Angel and now you are home. I will miss you and your warm smile, our conversations about music, dancing, Emma who also is still fighting her cancer. No matter how you felt you would come by in the morning and ask “how is Emma doing today, any changes”? I will remember you and your courage and fabulous positive attitude about life, day to day reality, struggle and making your way in this world. And finally I will remember you in my heart most of all. peace Michelle
I worked with Michelle at King County and she helped me many times with projects both large and small. We often shared our love of animals and talked about our respective pets. I’ll always remember her for that and be grateful for what she added to my work days.
Michelle was always so cheerful at work. She will be greatly missed.
