Obituary
Milan George Moss, a long-time resident of Burien, passed away at his home 03/24/2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, George A Moss and Ethel Grace Schrock; his wife Mary “Gwen” and daughter Sherrie A Warner. Milan was born in Omak, WA 07/27/1926.
He graduated from Highline High School in 1944 then served in the U.S. Army Military Police stationed at Ft. Monroe, VA where he met and married Gwen on 06/12/1948. After his discharge, they moved to Burien where they raised three daughters, Sherrie, Marlene, and Kathy. He worked with his father at his company, Sawdust Supply Co, eventually took it over and operated it until his death. He was a longstanding member of Elks and Eagles Lodges. He enjoyed many summers at the cabin on Lake Chelan with his family and friends.
Beloved father of Marlene G (Gerald) Matheson and Kathy McMahan; Papa to Tia (Scott) McLaughlin, Natalie Warner, Edwin (Mandy) Lyons, George Lyons and Amy Matheson; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Milan, you were a true gentleman and a dear friend. Many memories of dinners at the Elks, Angelo’s, and Lake Chelan.You will be in our hearts and thoughts every day at the cocktail hour. If you can, let us know if pipe smoking is allowed in heaven…..We will miss you dear Milan.

I’ve known Milan since the early days of both of our businesses and worked with him on a fairly regular business. He was a pleasure to work with and he will be greatly missed.
I have known Milan Moss since I came to work for Portac in 1975. He was such a wonderful man. He was good to his staff and those that had a business relationship with him. He will be greatly missed.
I worked for Milan for 5yrs. and never had a boss
that was as kind as him. He will be missed very much
but now Gwen are together once again. Thank you Milan

Milan was a very generous, and caring person. I workd for Milan for over 7 years, and they were the best. He was an amazing Boss, and very good to his employees. He was someone you respected and admired.
He will be greatly missed. It is nice to know that he is with Gwen. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, especially Eddie. I know how much Grandpa meant to you.
