Mildred A. Hildebrandt
Mildred went to be with the Lord peacefully Sunday morning August 22 in federal Way, WA. She was born October 29, 1912 in Manning, North Dakota to Loren and Veronica Sumner and was one of 5 children. She went to high school in Page. After high school she met and married Philip J. Hildebrandt. Mildred and Philip eventually moved to Decorah, Iowa. In 1947 Mildred, Philip and family moved to Seattle, WA. They raised 5 children in Decorah and Seattle. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Philip, daughters Renee and Dawn and brother Wayne. She is survived by her son Philip L. Hildebrandt, son Mark R. Hildebrandt and daughter Jenee A. Moss; grandchildren Eric Hildebrandt, Paul Hildebrandt, Heidi Hildebrandt, Philip A. Hildebrandt, Philip J. Moss, Shannon Moss, Anna Hildebrandt and Haley Hildebrandt; as well as 10 great grandchildren; sister, Rene Balkenhol, Lucille Olsen and Phyllis Olson. She was an owner and operator of the Tiki Tour and Travel Agency in Federal Way for many years. She retired as a Doug Fox Travel Agency Regional Manager in 1982. She was independent, strong, adventurous, kind and loved by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday August 26th and 27th from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, then again on Saturday August 28th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787. Committal will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Washington Memorial Park. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church, 15880 Military Rd. S., Tukwila, WA 98188. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Fellowship Bible Church or The Alzheimers Association.
