Obituary

Mildred Grace Hamilton Piergrossi

Our beloved Mildred died on Saturday April 25th 2015 at the age of 90. She was born in Vancouver, Canada on March 5th, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Hamilton, her brothers William and Leonard (Bud) and her loving Husband of 53 years, Ernest. She is survived by her children, son Steve (Beth), daughters JoAnne and Susan, Sister-in-law Mae Hamilton, numerous nieces and nephews and her lifetime best friend, Jean Watson.

Mildred attended Mt. Vernon High School and graduated from the University of Washington. Mildred adored her Family, her Friends and her neighbors. She brought joy to everyone she touched. Her Home was filled with love and laughter, great food, music and of course, flowers from her Garden. Mildred’s family would like to thank Sea Mar Community Care Center, Providence Hospice and The Hearthstone at Greenlake for their wonderful care.

At her request, there will be no services. Remembrances can be made to Holy Names Academy or O’Dea High School.

She will be missed, but never forgotten. There was only one Mildred.

Dear Family, especially JoAnne and Susan,

Christ’s special peace be yours as a sharing in your dear Mother’s Eternal Peace! Please be assured of our daily prayers and a remembrance in our thoughts.

It is a blessing and privilege to send home to our God in Heaven a faith-filled and loving woman. What a beautiful obituary to describe her goodness and family unity.

Thank you for including our school in remembrances for Mildred. We offer loving sympathy, especially to JoAnne and Susan, who are Holy Names Academy alums.

May our infinite and merciful God bring all of you strength and consolation at this time.

God bless each and all of you!

In Jesus and Mary,

Sister Ilene Clark, snjm, Sister Rosemary Perisich, snjm

I will always remember your wonderful Mother Mildred as the most gracious and loving wife and Mom. She loved her family and she loved to share her delicious food/cooking with everyone! She was such a sweet and kind person. Susan, JoAnne, and Steve you have my deepest sympathy.

Mildred was the sweetest neighbor. She made such a positive impression on my girls as they grew. She cared for our canary when we travelled. When Chirpy died we replaced him with another and named it Ern, after Mildred’s husband. We will never, ever forget her, nor the soft little cookies she baked with pink filling. Rest in peace Mildred. I hope I will visit with you again one day.
