Miltiadis Kyprianos Macris

November 27, 1959 - April 8, 2023

Obituary

Maybe the best way to cope with the loss of the people we love is to find them in as many places and things as we possibly can.

Miltiadis Kyprianos Macris was born to Lefkothea and Kyprianos on November 27, 1959, in Khartoum, Sudan. After graduating high school, Milton along with his closest friends came to America to attend college. Milton studied aircraft mechanics in college, then married the love of his life, Penny in 1979. They lived in Seattle, WA and had two daughters, Rachael and Sara. Milton thrived in a life-long career at a major airline as an aircraft mechanic as he built the most blessed life for his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

On April 8, 2023, the world became dimmer when Milton lost his fight to serious health complications.

Milton can be found in the closest friendships you keep. He can be found in creative inspiration. He was always making simple things beautiful. You can find him in the dedication and sacrifice it takes to make a dream come true. He can be found in the satisfaction of a good life and in the strength and humbleness that came with it. Milton can be found in patience as he had six grandchildren! You can find him in generosity. He gave everything he had to the people he loved. You can find him in love because that is what he was made of.

I met and got to know Milt just in the past year or so and learned very quickly what a kind, generous, caring, loving and talented person he was. Family and friends meant everything to him. I so enjoyed his approach to life and his can-do attitude whenever asked for help, he was a life saver to me on a number of occasions when asked to help. I enjoyed getting immersed into his Greek heritage and sense of humor. He will clearly be missed dearly by not only family, but so many of his friends and co-workers. He was one of a kind. I am thankful for the time I shared with him…….may the family rely on the many fun and good time memories as they heal their grief. I am sure he was meant in heaven with a full Greek buffet, some figs, and yes, even a box of biscotti ! 🙂

Milton will be missed by so many! I have known him for a lifetime, he always had a smile and a joke. He fiercely loved his family and spending time with family was always filled with love and many kinds of delicious food! We spent many Easter’s celebrating with an entire lamb prepared by Milton in his backyard one of a kind bbq pit. He was a generous kind soul and leaves behind a big empty space. My hearts aches for those he loved and for all of us that will continue to miss him every day.

We have so many memories of Milton and they all include laughing. He always made us laugh with his big smile and jokes. Forty years have passed and still when I would show up to visit – he would laugh. I was lucky to have have known him for most of my life- He always welcomed everyone into his home. My heart hurts for his family and friends – knowing they have lost their rock. Milton you will be missed. I treasured your friendship. I’m sorry I can’t be there next week. Kim sends her love 💔💔💔

I wish I had had the chance to meet with him again. Was so many years ago when he and his lovely family came to visit us at my mum’s in England. Life passes too quickly but I won’t forget the great chap he was. Gone too soon. Find happiness over the rainbow, Miltos.
