Lan, my thoughts of peace and tranquillity go out to you and your family for serenity.
The loss of a loved one is never an easy thing to accept. Please accept our love, thoughts and prayers as you all go through the days and weeks ahead. Tom is a great son-in-law to us and I’m sure his father was also a strong, caring person for his family.
I will miss you very much Grandpa. You were a very loving and kind person and I will always remember the time we spent together.
Thru Khang Thanh who was my closest friend and tennis partner, I did get the privilege to meet and know his father. Deeply sorry to hear that he has passed away and my sincere condolences to Thanh’s family. Looking at Thanh’s father pictures, it suddenly brings me back to the old good days souvenirs where I was very welcomed in Thanh’s family, specially by his father. Thanh will no longer be alone.
My condolences to the family and especially to My Vien. All the memories rushed back when I saw Bac Trai’s pictures. I still remember Bach Dang st. and your store/house was just a few houses from mine. Just hope that Bac Trai will find a good resting place!
I remember Mr. Tran Hong Minh as a kind and cheerful father. The many times I spent at his home in Da Nang, he always made me feel welcome. I am sure he’s having a great reunion with his dear son, Khang Thanh, also a dear friend to me. I love them both. Their lives have touched mine in very special ways.

Our deepest condolences with Tran family. From Lan’s coworker in Source Photonics.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your dear Father Tran Hong Minh. Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences that could have been better conveyed in person. This sad event must have been very difficult for you.
Ever since my youthful years in the 60’s and 70’s, your Father has projected to me as a great man to his family, a trustworthy, hard working and successful business person in town. What I remember most was how nice and generous he treated his children’s friends such as me at his house, located right in front of Song Han River. He always carried that happy broad smile on his face whenever we were there and he often took us out to treats in his shiny fancy new car.
He also was a great tennis player with whom I had the opportunity to play at the Cercle Sportif right across from our high school Lycee Blaise Pascal and I was able to learn a few slice and volley moves from him.
Even though we would not be able to see him on Earth any longer, he always lives in our mind and memory as a great man to his family, kind husband to his wife and generous father to his children. I believe he lived a happy and meaningful life dedicated to his family and friends. I wish him another great eternal life beyond this earthly place where he would bless us all.
You are in my thoughts,
