Obituary
Minnie Bob West was born the last child of six to the late Lee and Lottie Roberts on May 8, 1938 in Farmerville, Louisiana.
She attended Tuskegee University and then married the late Willie Gene West Sr., on July 23, 1960, a union of 42 years and to this marriage, five children were born. She loved traveling, fishing, shopping, family activities, good food, and good company, while building and establishing lasting sisterhoods and friendships.
She departed this life on May 8, 2022 and leaves to cherish her memories, her children. Daughters: Carmen G. West, Seattle, WA., Lisa B. West-Gardner, Atlanta, GA., Signe T. N. West, Atlanta, GA., and sons: Willie G. West Jr., Seattle, WA., and Earl L. West, Atlanta, GA. Continuing to celebrate her life and memories are six grandchildren: Samantha, Paisley, Jamere, Danielle, Kepler, and Geneva and two great grandchildren: Peyton and Zuri. Also in mourning is her sister Willie Mae Williams. This in addition to a host of devoted relatives and friends.
She was a daughter, sister, mother, role model, and friend to all that had met her. She retired from King County Administration (Map Counter) after 25 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in mom’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Hospital for Children. Thank you all, The West Family.
