On behalf of Mona’s friends in Olympia and the State Capitol, condolences and prayers are offered to the family. Mona’s steadfast and impassionate work on behalf of children was remarkable and long lasting. Her recent membership on the State Board of Education was the latest in career-long work devoted to assuring that every child has the opportunity for a meaningful and lasting education. Her voice will be missed, but her legacy will not be forgotten.

Soror Mona Bailey:

I am truly going to miss you. You truly displayed the principles and values of our Prestigious and Illustrious Sorority.

Thank you for always exemplifying the true meaning of Delta in your works, service and love.

I attended my first National Convention while I was a collegiate soror at Beta Eta (Alabama State University)/ It was the National Convention where you were running for National President. You gave me a button that said Vote for Mona. I still have it somewhere in my home but will have to find it. Once, I find it I will always keep it close to my heart.
